Insurance and Payments

Insurance

Be sure to bring your insurance card to your first appointment. As a courtesy, we bill your insurance company for you. To do so, we will need your insurance information and your social security number. If your insurance comes through another family member, be certain to bring their insurance information and social security number as well. For patients covered by more than one insurance policy, we will need all provider details in order to bill both insurance companies.

Whenever possible, we will assist you in arranging preauthorization for dental procedures. You might want to bring your dental insurance provider's handbook along as well.

Our Financial Philosophy

Too often, our patients tell us that their last dentist pushed them into expensive treatment plans they couldn't afford. These plans came with high interest and steep monthly payments.

Dentistry doesn't have to be like that. Usually, you don't have to do everything all at once; most treatment can be spaced out over an extended period, beginning with your most urgent needs.

We work with you, planning your treatment in manageable steps. We bill your insurance company for you, and when requested, obtain treatment preauthorization.

In general, we request your portion of the fee at the time of service. And we do occasionally carry a balance with our most credit-worthy patients.

Because we reserve an appointment time just for you, providing staff, equipment and space, we do bill for missed appointments. We require that you give us at least 48 hours notice by phone, should you have to cancel.

When in doubt, please contact us with your specific questions regarding finances. We are happy to work with you; our goal is to maintain your healthy smile.
